Is AGW actually real?
The graphs show an 800 year lag because CO2 is not the only primary forcing mechanism for a changing climate. The ice ages are primarily a cause of Milankovich cycles. When snow falls, glaciers expand and ice covers more of the planet the uptake of CO2 by the planet decreases, the surface albedo of the planet increases, the amount of radiation able to be absorbed by the greenhouse ges decreases as a result of the higher surface albedo, and the amount of CO2 emission as the result of dying plant and animal life increases. This increases the CO2 in the atmosphere greatly. That is why there is a lag. However, as evidenced by numerous tests, examples, and experiments, the greenhouse effect does indeed occur and is governed by the amount of greenhouse ges in the atmosphere. The primary forcing of one climate change of the past does not have to be the primary forcing of present or future climate changes.
